Bespoke Living Room, Kitchen & Hallway Joinery | Co. Wicklow
A beautifully detailed multi-room project, bringing together bespoke storage, natural materials and statement joinery throughout the hallway and living room.
The concept was created by the client’s interior designer, with Oak Projects responsible for translating the design into fully bespoke, made-to-measure joinery, from technical development and manufacturing through to installation.
One of the key elements of the project was maintaining a consistent design language across two connected spaces, while giving each area its own purpose and character.
In the hallway, we created a combination of floor-to-ceiling sprayed cabinetry and a long bespoke oak veneer storage bench, designed to maximise an otherwise underused area.
The bench features beautifully curved ends and rattan-fronted doors, bringing warmth and texture to the space while providing substantial concealed storage.
One of the standout elements is the custom sliding rattan partition system separating the hallway from the living room. The large rattan panels were framed in a bold sprayed finish and installed on a sliding track system, allowing the rooms to be separated when required without losing the sense of light and openness between them.
Inside the living room, the joinery continues with a fully bespoke MDF media wall, incorporating extensive open shelving, a central TV area and full-width low-level cabinetry. Integrated ambient lighting above the unit gives the entire installation a softer architectural finish.
Together, the three elements, cabinetry, sliding partition and media wall, turn what were separate functional requirements into one cohesive interior scheme.
